What Is the Bruno Joey Scooter Lift?
The Bruno Joey is an interior-mounted mobility lift designed to transport scooters and power wheelchairs inside most minivans and select full-size vans. Its powered platform lowers to the ground, allowing you to load your mobility device from either direction before raising it into the vehicle.
The Joey features a compact design intended to preserve access to second-row seating in many compatible vehicles. Minivan-specific mounting kits help provide a precise installation, and vehicle and mobility device compatibility should be confirmed before installation.
The Bruno Joey also offers an optional Back-Off™ backrest removal device for compatible scooters and powerchairs. This feature allows the backrest to be removed from the mobility device seat, helping it fit through shorter vehicle openings without removing the entire seat.

Bruno Joey User Requirements
The Bruno Joey requires the user to be able to:
- Walk from the front to the rear of the vehicle and back.
- Stand for approximately 2–3 minutes.
- Drive or roll the mobility device onto and off the platform.
- Hold down a button on the handheld pendant while operating the lift.
- Fold down the seat back and/or tiller of the mobility device, or remove the seat back using the Back-Off device, if applicable.
- Connect a securement hook to the receiver and tighten the strap to secure the mobility device.
Securement Requirements:
The user must be able to connect the securement hook to the receiver and tighten the strap. The specific securement process may vary depending on the mobility device and lift configuration.
