Buying an Accessible Vehicle

We offer a variety of wheelchair-accessible vehicles, including side-entry and rear-entry minivans, full-size wheelchair-accessible vans, and accessible SUVs. Our inventory may include vehicles equipped with in-floor or fold-out ramps, wheelchair lifts, and other accessibility modifications from leading conversion manufacturers. Availability changes regularly, so check our current inventory for the latest vehicles.

A wheelchair-accessible van is a vehicle that has been modified to make entering, exiting, and traveling in a wheelchair easier. Depending on the vehicle, accessibility may be provided through a side-entry or rear-entry ramp or lift.

A side-entry wheelchair van provides wheelchair access through one of the vehicle’s side doors. Depending on the conversion, the ramp may fold, deploy manually, or operate electronically.

A rear-entry wheelchair van provides wheelchair access through the rear of the vehicle. These conversions can be a practical option for certain wheelchair and transportation needs.

An in-floor ramp stores underneath the vehicle floor when it is not being used. This keeps the ramp out of the interior and helps maintain an open cabin area.

A fold-out ramp stores inside the vehicle and folds out when it is needed for wheelchair access.

Some of our vehicles feature powered ramps, while others have manual ramps. The accessibility equipment varies by vehicle.

Most accessible vehicle configurations are designed to allow a passenger to remain in their wheelchair while traveling. The specific securement system and seating configuration vary by vehicle.

Accessibility equipment varies by vehicle. Check the individual listing or contact us for specific information.

Many accessible vans can accommodate additional passengers, but seating capacity varies depending on the vehicle and conversion configuration.

Some vehicles allow for seating adjustments or removal, while others have different conversion configurations. Ask about the specific vehicle you’re considering.

Before You Buy

Useful measurements include your wheelchair’s overall width, length, height, and weight. For power wheelchairs, include any additional accessories that affect the dimensions.

Yes. If you plan to park the vehicle in a garage, measure the garage door opening, ceiling height, length, and available parking space before purchasing.

Consider the vehicle’s mileage and condition, conversion manufacturer, ramp or lift operation, wheelchair space, seating configuration, accessibility equipment, and maintenance history.

An accessible vehicle includes specialized equipment and modifications in addition to the underlying vehicle. The type of conversion, equipment, age, condition, and vehicle itself all affect the price.
