What Is the Bruno Lifter Fold Down Lift?

The Bruno Lifter is an interior-mounted mobility lift designed to raise and store compatible manual folding wheelchairs, travel scooters, and travel powerchairs inside a variety of vehicles. Its powered lifting operation helps reduce the effort required to load mobility equipment, while manual rotation allows the user to guide the device into or out of the vehicle.

The Bruno Lifter includes a docking device for compatible mobility equipment at no additional charge, along with hundreds of vehicle-specific custom bases designed to support a precise installation.

The lift is available in two configurations: the AWL-150S, designed for large sedans, and the AWL-150M, designed for minivans, SUVs, CUVs, and full-size vans. Vehicle and mobility device compatibility should be confirmed before installation.

Bruno Lifter User Requirements

The Bruno Lifter requires the user to be able to:

• Walk from the front to the rear of the vehicle.
• Stand for approximately 2–3 minutes.
• Raise and lower the lift arm.
• Press a button to raise and lower the lift strap.
• Maintain adequate balance, hand dexterity, and strength to attach the docking device, including bending over.
• Rotate and guide the small scooter or manual wheelchair into and out of the vehicle.
• Remove the scooter seat if transporting a scooter in a sedan trunk.

Docking and Loading Requirements

The user must be able to attach the docking device to the mobility equipment and manually rotate and guide the device into or out of the vehicle. The docking process may require bending over and sufficient hand strength and dexterity.

The AWL-150S is designed for large sedans and has an installed lift weight of approximately 30 lb / 14 kg.

AWL-150M – Minivans, SUVs, CUVs, and Full-Size Vans

The AWL-150M is designed for minivans, SUVs, CUVs, and full-size vans and has an installed lift weight of approximately 60 lb / 27 kg.

Both configurations have a lifting capacity of 200 lb / 90 kg. Vehicle-specific custom bases support installation in compatible vehicles, and the appropriate model should be selected based on your vehicle and mobility equipment.
