Braun UVL Series Wheelchair Lift – Wisconsin
Under Vehicle Wheelchair Lifts by BraunAbility
The BraunAbility Under Vehicle Lift (UVL) is designed for wheelchair users who want reliable accessibility while preserving interior space in their vehicle. Installed underneath the vehicle by Access Mobility Vans, the lift remains concealed when not in use, keeping it out of the way of passengers and cargo.
This under-vehicle design allows ambulatory passengers to enter and exit more easily, maintains the driver’s side visibility while traveling, and preserves valuable interior space for passengers.
Access Mobility Vans provides wheelchair lift solutions to help individuals and families find accessible transportation options suited to their needs.
What Is the BraunAbility Under Vehicle Lift?
The BraunAbility UVL is a wheelchair lift designed to mount beneath a compatible vehicle rather than occupying space inside the passenger compartment. When the lift is not needed, it stays tucked underneath the vehicle. When deployed, it provides a platform to assist a wheelchair user with entering or exiting the vehicle.
This configuration is especially useful for applications where maintaining passenger seating, cargo capacity, and an unobstructed interior is important.
BraunAbility UVL Features
Under-Vehicle Installation
The lift mounts underneath a compatible vehicle, keeping the equipment out of the passenger compartment when stowed.
Preserved Interior Space
Because the lift is stored beneath the vehicle, it helps preserve interior room for passengers, seating, and cargo.
Unobstructed Side Visibility
The concealed design helps maintain the driver’s side view while traveling when the lift is properly stowed.
Convenient Passenger Access
With the lift out of the way when not in use, ambulatory passengers can access the vehicle without navigating around a lift inside the passenger area.
Wheelchair Accessibility
The UVL provides a lift platform designed to help wheelchair users enter and exit a compatible vehicle.
How Does the BraunAbility Under Vehicle Lift Work?
The BraunAbility UVL is installed beneath a compatible vehicle by qualified mobility equipment professionals. When wheelchair access is required, the lift deploys from its stowed position and provides a platform for the wheelchair user. After use, it returns to its stored position beneath the vehicle.
Operation, installation requirements, and vehicle compatibility depend on the specific lift model and vehicle configuration. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for safe operation and maintenance.

Access Mobility Vans can help you explore compatibility and determine whether an under-vehicle lift is appropriate for your transportation needs.
Who Can Benefit From an Under Vehicle Lift?
The BraunAbility UVL may be a suitable option for wheelchair users, families, caregivers, and transportation providers who want wheelchair access without dedicating passenger-compartment space to a stowed lift.
It can be particularly appealing when maintaining seating, cargo room, and a clear vehicle interior is a priority.
