Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle Loans at Low Rates

Acquiring a loan for your wheelchair van does not have to be as stressful as you might think. Our team specializes in locating funding for these vehicles/modifications, and has experience working with all kinds of financial situations. We can even help you find out what non traditional forms of funding you may qualify for. 

One place you can always look to is local and county offices. In some cases, you may qualify for special grants or Vocational Rehab services. Some modifications may be covered under insurance or workman’s compensation policies. 
If you are a Veteran, you should contact your local VA. They may do an assessment and depending on the circumstances, they have programs that will cover a portion or all of your mobility related expenses.

    • BancLease Acceptance Corp. is another preferred lender that is happy to take the extra steps necessary to secure funding for conversion vehicles.

  • Digital Federal Credit Union
    • DCU is a non-profit cooperative with more than 850,000 members throughout the country. DCU offers financing for mobility vans, trucks, and SUV’s through a vast network of Co-Op shared branches nationwide. 
  • The Federal Savings Bank
    • The Federal Savings Bank is a privately held veteran-owned, federally chartered bank. They are happy to help anyone who needs it find financing for their mobility vehicle.

Veteran Financing

  • USAA
    • USAA works with Vantage Mobility International (VMI) to provide special savings to USAA members on Toyota, Dodge, Chrysler and Honda wheelchair-accessible vehicles. USAA members receive a special savings of $1,000 with the purchase of a new or used vehicle equipped with a new VMI conversion.
  • US Department of Veteran Affairs
    • The VA offers many forms of assistance to veterans in need of mobility equipment. The most helpful in securing funding for a mobility vehicle are their grants for service connected disabilities. The two grants you should first inquire about are the Form 1394 (For the conversion of a vehicle) and the Form 4502 (For the purchase of a vehicle before conversion). 
  • Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs
    • Just like the Federal VA, the Wisconsin VA has programs and staff dedicated to assisting veterans with mobility related needs.

Wisconsin DOH IRIS Program

  • Members of the IRIS program from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services may qualify for funding towards a wheelchair accessible vehicle (WAV). Please contact your local mobility consultant for more information. 

Mobility Vehicle Funding for Job Seekers

  • Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development
    • The Wisconsin DWD offers vocational rehab assistance along with a host of other resources to individuals with mobility related needs looking to get back into the job market. 
  • Wisconsin GCPD
    • The Wisconsin Governor's Committee for People with Disabilities was established with one goal: to improve employment opportunities for people with disabilities. They offer many resources that will help individuals obtain employment through nearly any disability related needs they may have. 
  • Wisconsin's Assistive Technology Program (WisTech)
    • WisTech provides information on selecting, funding, installing, and using assistive technology, funded under the AT Act of 1998, as amended.
  • The Multiple Sclerosis Foundation
    • The Assistive Technology (AT) Program through the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation may help locate, partially fund, or provide full funding for one of a wide range of devices. These allow those with MS to function more independently in their daily lives, as well as more easily participate in recreational, educational, and vocational activities.

    • Aging and Disability Resource Centers (ADRC). Your local aging and disability resource center (ADRC) is the first place to go to get accurate, unbiased information on all aspects of life related to aging or living with a disability.

  • Variety of Wisconsin
    • Variety is a local non-profit that works with private donors and supporters to fund and deliver effective programs and provide grants to support their mission of Enriching the lives of children with physical or developmental special needs and their families.
  • SpecialKidsFund.org
    • SpecialKidsFund.org is a local charity that helps match donated mobility vehicles to deserving families and individuals. 
  • Cerebral Palsy Guidance
    • Cerebral Palsy Guidance is an organization that can help with the locating of needed mobility equipment along with locating funding sources for that equipment. 

Charitable Grants

  • Bryon Riesch Paralysis Foundation
    • The Bryon Riesch Paralysis Foundation is an organization that gives grants to those with neurological disabilities with the goal of enhancing their mobility. 
  • Joni and Friends
    • The Christian Fund for the Disabled (CFD) is a matching grant program of Joni and Friends that demonstrates Christ’s love by meeting practical needs of people affected by disability.  Grants are also available to help churches and Christian organizations start or expand their service to individuals affected by disability.
